Weight of the World refers to Trent Appelbaum's hopes of being a cure to weight loss throughout the world.

[edit] Synopsis
Trent Appelbaum returned to find his wife has passed, leaving their daughter with a heavy financial burden. But Trent's luck soon takes a turn for the life changing when he accidentally discovers his ability to speed up weight-loss at an exponential rate. Now Fortune 500 companies are practically knocking down his door, each willing to pay top dollar for the right to put Trent's ability on the open market, but ultimately, Trent's ability turns deadly for the people who sample it. Meanwhile, Richard, Lily, and Isabelle find a respite from their life on the road at the home of a fellow 4400; at the 4400 Center, a celebrity pop star joins Collier's cause; and as Kyle attempts to catch up on his teenage years by attending a frat party, he learns that too much fun can be dangerous.

The scene opens with Trent Appelbaum at the Diner where his daughter works. Dmitri Kazar enters and demands money that Trent owes. Trent is pinned down onto the desk. He gives him 48 hours to get the money and takes a drink from Trent's beer. Richard, Lily and Isabelle are traveling and Lily thinks she might be pregnant again. Two days later Trent enough money to pay back the loan for a while but he had to sell his daughters car and the TV. When Dmitri arrives he has lost 75 pounds and thinks it's because he drank from Trent's beer. Trent is then paided to do the same for Dmitri's wife to test the theory. At The 4400 Centre a celebrity has joined the Key programe. Meanwhile Celeste Kazar, Dmitri's wife, has lost 23 pounds.
At NTAC Tom and Diana are discussing Trent's ability since he's selling himself for aleast $20 million. Richard, Lily and Isabelle arrive at Eric Papequash to live. Kyle is at college and gets A-. Tom and Diana meet Trent. Trent explains that no one will take advantage of him and that he'll use the money to pay for his daughters college fee. At Eric's Richard is making friends with the neighbours. At the Centre Devon asks Shawn about Chloe and the screen changes to Jordan and Chloe having sex. Trent gets his ability sold at last for $40 million. Shawn discovers about Jordan and Chloe's relationship and tells him that it's against his book. Meanwhile Eric suggests that Richard should live here for good with Lily and Isabelle and even offers Richard a job. Trent closes the deal. Shawn tells Devon and Chloe and Jordan. She is then seen crying under the stairs.
Richard tells Lily about living where they are but she tells him that she isn't pregnant and that Isabelle doesn't like it there. Company's are now trying to buy 4400s like Trent is case they get a profible ability. Diana tells Tom about Maia's Diary. At the Tattoo shop Dianna tells April that she is proud of her. Maia tells the customer to wear his helmet. At the party Kyle's at he drinks for a beer and has a blackout. He then finds himself outside a store with the alarm going off and a smashed window. He is arrested. Trent meanwhile is confronted by a dying Dmitri. He tells him that his wife staved to death and he (Dmitri) is next. Before he can attack Trent he collaspes and dies. Tom is angry at Kyle since he was almost charged with breaking and entering. Tom is then called by NTAC. One of the neighbours gets jealous of Richard and calls NTAC on them for they have to leave.
Trent is asked if anyone else has drunk any of his saliva. Trent has to stay at NTAC medical until the saliva is removed. Trent mentions that he gave away some saliva for the company to sell. 100 people were tested and are rushed to NTAC. Meanwhile Devon trys to kill herself but fails. Kyle's teacher tells Kyle to tell Tom if he's losing chuncks of time but Kyle doesn't want to since he might go back into NTAC medical. Trent calls his daughter and to discover that she has taken some as well and is dying. She is taken to NTAC medical. The only way to cure the disease is to remove Trent's liver and use that. Shawn talks to Devon and finds out that she's in love with Jordan. The cuatomer from the Tattoo Shop comes over and thanks Maia. Chloe leaves the Centre. Jordan tells Shawn that he is his heir. The 4400 Goldrush is over. It's then mentioned that Trent's saliva could be used to heal the Ozone Layer.
