[edit] Promicin Resistance

In the Season 4 finale, The Great Leap Forward, increased amounts of ubiquinone are found to be effective at helping the the body protect itself from promicin by boosting the immune system. This increased protection allows the body to develop a resistance to promicin that prevents a promicin-receptive person from developing abilities and allows a promicin-unreceptive person to survive infection. This discovery is used to contain a widespread infection that occurs when Danny Farrell unintentionally infects numerous people with promicin via his ability.
