The Theory Room

The Theory Room is a room in the basement at the Seattle NTAC branch where the "big brains" figure out things about the 4400. It was originally created when no one knew where the 4400 were from or why they were sent back. Marco is the head of the Theory Room (Brady Wingate and P.J. were his subordinates - P.J. was arrested after he took promicin and showed his ability in No Exit, Brady died when the promicin virus spread through NTAC in The Great Leap Forward - Abigail works for Marco now in the Theory Room), and it is believed that the smartest people work here. The room has several computers and projectors. The sign on the door of the Theory Room reads "Where the Rubber Meets the Road." Significant contributions made by Theory Room staff include discovering the ripple effect and that Piersahl was killing people who had Starzl mutation.

During Lockdown, when all male staff members suffered from heightened aggression, even the normally level-headed staff of the Theory Room began to bicker, but it did not escalate into violence as it did among the field staff, and they managed to keep their heads clear enough to devise a signal to counteract the effects.
