The 4400 Wiki:Manual of Style
From The 4400 Wiki, a fan encyclopedia that anyone can edit.
Writing Guidelines for this Wiki.
- Don't copy material on other sites verbatim, unless they are public domain or licensed under CC-by-nc-sa 2.5, you must also provide information as to where you found the information you have copied and provide a direct link in the edit summary.
- Episodes: Each episode should have a brief overview containing an explaination of the title and a very brief description of what happened in the episode, followed by a detailed synopsis.
- All major and recurring characters deserve their own articles. All members of the 4400 who have been seen by the audience deserve their own articles. Decisions are currently being made about what to do with minor characters, however there are now articles for Unseen 4400s and the Sumlin family.
- Major and recurring actors and actresses deserve their own articles. Actors and actresses who have appeared in at least four episodes deserve their own articles. Actors and actresses who have appeared in three episodes or less are considered minor and should be added to the minor actors and actresses lists. The Pilot, Wake-Up Call, The New World, and Gone each count as two episodes for this purpose. This keeps the 4400 Wiki from becoming a haven of actor stubs. See this template for examples.
- Do not use slang and try to refrain from personal comments in writings.
[edit] What the 4400 Wiki is NOT
- The 4400 Wiki is not a collection of transcripts. IMDB and Twiz TV have transcripts of the 4400 up until the episode Hidden.
- The 4400 Wiki is not a collection of random quotes from the series.
- The 4400 Wiki is not a collection of episode credits. IMDB and the offical site take care of that perfectly well.
