Susan Farrell is the sister of Tom Baldwin, and the mother of Shawn and Danny Farrell. Her husband left the family while Shawn and Danny were little. She became upset with both of her sons when they fought over Nikki. Susan is at the hospital when Shawn wakes up from his coma in The Wrath of Graham. She died accidentally when her son Danny took promicin and developed the ability to spread promicin like a virus.
