Nina Jarvis is the head of NTAC. She took over for Dennis Ryland after he was transferred to Washington. Nina is stubborn and bossy, especially to Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris. She was very reluctant about allowing Tom to return to field duty, but Diana managed to convince her otherwise. She allowed Tom to come back as an agent after a year of desk work, but only after he signed an undated letter of resignation as an insurance policy.

In Lockdown, Nina was shot when TJ Kim sent out a signal that made all of the males at NTAC very violent. This didn't keep her from doing her job for more than a few days, however. Nina was absolved of all charges in the Promicin inhibitor scandal that sent most of NTAC's leaders to trial.

She helped issue an amber alert when the children were taken in Gone.

Jarvis often has to yield to more powerful government forces when things get scary. She wasn't sure that NTAC would lose custody of Jordan Collier after he was taken in. She was unable to keep Ryland and Isabelle from stomping in and interrogating Shawn. Jarvis stepped down as head of NTAC following the third season for unknown reasons.
