MNCN
From The 4400 Wiki, a fan encyclopedia that anyone can edit.
MNCN is a fictional cable news network on the 4400, based on real networks such as CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News. Barbara Yates was the main journalist of the network until Dennis Ryland had her arrested for vehicular manslaughter in response to her refusal to discontinue her coverage of the 4400. The network has covered important events such as the Ball of Light approaching Earth, legal discussions about releasing the 4400 from quarantine, and General Randa's announcement of the enhanced soldier program.
Creator Scott Peters said in a DVD interview that three of the main things the original mini-series was meant to explore were how the press and government would react to such an unprecedented event, in addition to religion.
