Keane Driscoll is the man who killed Alana's husband and son in a hit and run accident in 1997. After the accident, he realized he had to change his life so instead of turning himself into the authorites he decided to give up drinking. Alana finds him running the local AA center, which he had been leading for five years. She vows to make sure he never forgets what happened. Later that day Keane gets drunk and is in a serious car accident.

Kurt Fuller, the actor who plays Keane Driscoll, also played Dennis Gammill, a drunk driver who killed a 17-year-old in an episode of USA's Monk.
