Graham Holt was a student attending Adlai Stevenson High School, but was generally shunned by the majority of the student-body and considered unpopular, this, combined with his longing for another student Amber (which was ignored), convinced Graham to take one of the free promicin shots in the hopes it would give him a "really cool" ability and make him popular.

After three days, Graham still didn't have an ability but didn't die either, and Graham believed the promicin-shot had failed. But when Graham went to P.E. to play basketball (something the other students used to make fun of him because of his terrible athletic skills), the two team captains, both of which used to bully Graham, suddenly argued over who would get Graham on their team. Graham initially believed they were playing with his feelings, but began wondering if there was something else behind this sudden interest in his opinion (especially when the P.E. teacher openly asked what he wanted to do for P.E., and when Graham jokingly said "Thumb-Wrestling", the teacher took basketball off the list of games and ordered the class to do just that).

Graham went home, and was shortly after confronted by dozens of his classmates outside his house, all dressed up like him and holding candles to him as a cult-like following. The same two boys from P.E. were there, and told Graham they were "with him" and presented Amber to him, who was also under his influence after seeing "the beautiful light" coming from Graham (unbenownst to himself). Graham, while talking to Amber in private, realized he had the ability to make others worship him like a god, and tried to convince them to stop and briefly considered getting help with his ability as it was "messing them up". However, when Amber revealed herself to be naked, Graham was tempted enough to use his influence over Amber to get sex from her, and decided to use his powers for his own personal benefit.

Graham's influence over the student population grew, with high-society students suddenly telling their friends how "cool" Graham was and an increasing number of Graham-cult members pursued their mission of making others worship Graham, such as displaying posters of Graham and replacing the school founder's statue with one of Graham himself.

The school principle, disturbed by recent events, asked NTAC to investigate. NTAC Agents Tom Baldwin and Jed Garrity confronted Graham and attempted to arrest Graham for taking the illegal substance, but the sheer mass of followers forced them to retreat. Baldwin later returned with a platoon of solders from the Washington National Guard to arrest Graham while he was at his home, but it was too late, as Graham had seized several square blocks surrounding his house, complete with its civilian population, for his own. Initially a standoff ensued, but Graham was able to refine his ability and take control of the soldiers and police.

Graham then led his followers into Seattle, taking control of key government and police facilities, and having everyone at NTAC arrested, and established his headquarters at Seattle's court house, where Graham declared himself "King of Seattle".

The government, increasingly fearful of Graham's power, considered nuking the city, while Graham had a message aired on national television in which he declares his intention to expand his influence over the entire world, and re-organize it into a better one...under his direction. Graham, wanting to legitamize his claims for world domination, sent out search parties to find the infamous Promicin Movement founder/leader Jordan Collier, so he may use his ability on him.

When Jordan was brought to Graham, he then began using his ability on him, but before the ability could take hold, Jordan sprang his trap to stop the renegade "messiah": Jordan used his own ability to eliminate all the promicin in Graham's body, neutralizing his ability and freeing his followers. A short while later, one of the police officers he had hypnotized arrested him on the steps of the courthouse.

Graham's fate is unknown, but NTAC Theory Room Head Marco Pacella mentioned Graham had "a lot to answer for".

[edit] Ripple Effect

  • Graham Holt's abuse of his ability was a clear example of what happens when promicin-induced abilities are in the wrong hands, which led to the unaltered timeline. Collier called Graham's siege "a scare," and to expect many more before his mission was complete.
