  • Max Hudson was originally brought on the show as a love interest for Diana
  • Jacqueline McKenzie liked the idea to bring back Dennis Ryland
  • In season 1 they felt that Ryland was under used
  • Jacqueline McKenzie got the part of Diana partly because of how well she dealt with children during her audition. She was shooting a scene for an earlier version of the pilot.
  • McKenzie has two neices and a nephew at home in Australia. She said that Conchita Campbell knows how far away her family is and works to help her with that.
  • Joel Gretsch has two young children, however the character of Tom Baldwin has a 21 year old son. McKenzie joked that Tom must have been 12 when Kyle was born. Gretsch is currently 43 years old.
  • The commons area at NTAC shrunk greatly from Season One to Season Two.
  • Budget cuts often reduced the number of extras who would appear on the show. Sometimes they would have to shoot a scene from several angles with the same small group of extras.
  • The writers wondered if everyone would understand that the people standing in the human chain outside the 4400 Center were not 4400s but instead non-4400 members of the 4400 Center. They thought that most people probably did understand this, especially after Matthew Ross said that there were no 4400s there.
  • Garret Dillahunt was added to the cast after someone saw an episode of Deadwood and though he would be a good addition to the 4400.
  • The character of Alana was brought in because they had already dealt with Tom's divorce and romance ususually doesn't turn out well on the 4400.
  • The Future Room is a soundstage. When the creators first saw it they knew they would be using that room for something.
