The DVD Commentary for Gone (Part 2) was given by Joel Gretsch, Jacqueline McKenzie, and Scott Peters.
Introduction.
The opening scene was suppose to be much longer, but was cut for time.
The car scene was an entire day shoot and it was the first day where it didn't rain.
Jackie doesn't think the show is sci-fi, it's more character driven.
The painting behind Joel was stolen.
When Scott directs a episode, he goes through every scene to see where he will shoot the shot. 'find the heart' of every scene.
They made fun of Christopher Dubov's name.
Dubov's office was shot at the Vancouver art gallery which they turned into an office.
Richard is the most calm, when he raises his voice, everyone jumped.
Scott loves this episode because it shows how Tom and Diana's trust in each other have grown over time.
The piano scene with Isabelle, a teacher taught her to play the first few notes. the end when she plays 3 notes before she leaves, they actually add the notes in post production. It looks like she did something, but she actually didn't.
Jackie had a hard time with emotional scene because it's tricky for her to control her accent.
For the adoption scene, Scott tried to match Wakeup Call as much as possible.
Richard playing with the lighter was a call back to the pilot.
When Marco shows he found the kids, it was originally suppose to be shot in the theory room, but it would take more time.
The lighting was done to look moody because it's 'not their world.' Scott gives lots of credit to Tony, the
Diana in a coma, she breathe fast. and she looks pale because she's not wearing make-up.
The hallway with the gray walls is actually a new set.
The Hanging scene, there's was much more, but was cut for time.
There was a line that was cut that bothered Joel. Tom said "You know what a game of Chicken is? well, I won."
Alice was in Chariots of Fire and when Jackie first saw it, she thought to herself, I wouldn't mind being an actress.
Patrick destroy the set when he lean against the wall. He hurts his right hand, so while he is cutting, he's very careful with his right.
There was red blood behind the knife and the drool was real.
The hospital is actually in NTAC, but with the walls painted.
