Cassie Dunleavy is a figment of Kyle Baldwin's mind as a byproduct of his ability.

She first appeared to him claiming to be an art and design student doing a charcoal sketch from a view at the park for seven days. She claimed that Kyle was sitting in her spot on her first day. Claiming to have read up a lot on the 4400s, she called Kyle by name as he was leaving. Kyle assured her that he didn't actually kill Jordan Collier. She replied that Kyle doesn't look like a killer. She knew that Shawn Farrell's promicin level was 'out of wack' which gave Kyle the idea to give Shawn a shot of promicin. Later, Kyle went to the school Cassie told him she attended, but her name wasn't registered and Kyle couldn't find her in the phone book.

At the end of the episode Fear Itself Kyle discovers she is not real, as his father could not hear or see her and she explicately said, "I'm Kyle's ability." Her purpose is to act as a sort of spirit guide to Kyle. She lead him to an intersection were a big changing event takes place; the release of an important individual.
