Ball of Light
From The 4400 Wiki, a fan encyclopedia that anyone can edit.
The Ball of Light was an advanced spacecraft originally believed to be a comet which was used to return The 4400 to Seattle in 2004. It entered the atmosphere somewhere around Sibera or Alaska before reaching a lake next to Mount Rainer. The United States, China, France, Great Britain, and Russia fired missiles at it still believing it was a comet destined to impact with the Earth. A forcefield kept the missiles from having any impact. The Ball of Light disappeared in an explosion, leaving the 4400 in a cloud of mist.
A painting of the Ball of Light appears in the lobby of the 4400 Center.
[edit] Goofs
Camera shots show the missiles hitting the target but not destroying it, and then cut to a shot of the Ball of Light passing the Moon. In reality the missiles would have hit the target very near the atmosphere, far closer to Earth than the Moon.
