Audrey Parker was a wealthy old woman nearing the end of her life, and was in a state of depression due to looking forward to nothing but her inevitable death, though worked at a local library in her spare time, but was forced to remain at her home most of the time due to her growing arthritis condition, which had forced her to seek medical care by hiring a nurse named Hanna to administer morphine for pain. On a whim, she decided to take promicin, which had recently been released to the world.
To Audrey's surprise, she discovered she had developed an ability, astral projection, where she could send a physical manifestation of her soul, in the form of a electric signal, to temporarily leave her body and explore. What's more, she discovered her astral-form was her physical prime at 25, and she couldn't be seen while projecting. Audrey started to feel alive again, and enjoyed using her ability, and even used it to help an aspiring artist; Vanessa Martin, by stopping her corrupt manager from swindling her money. Audrey maintained an anonymous blog at the library, telling bloggers that taking promicin had been the highlight of her life, how it made her feel alive again, and other people should take it as well.
When NTAC investigated the blog at the behest of Meghan Doyle, Audrey pretended to be innocent, and even struck up an affinity with NTAC Agents Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris, making them realised some important lessons about her work. After returning home, she used her ability again in safety and explored nearby skyscrapers, having learned to fly in her astral form, when suddenly her image convulsed and malfunctioned, nearly sending her to the ground. Disturbed, Audrey tried to summon herself back to her body, but when it failed, summoned herself as near to her body as she could and walked there on foot. Audrey was horrified to find NTAC agents, who had traced the blogs to her after remembering how she used her Benjamin Franklin quotes in the blog and in the discussion, examining her corpse, as she apparently died an hour ago.
Audrey hounded the NTAC agents, screaming to anyone that she didn't die of an accidental overdose or suicide, but was murdered. Evantually she reached Diana, who she had struck up a spiritual bond with, by uttering "murdered" over and over again through signal static, and led her and her partner to Vanessa's former-manager, and although he was arrested for other crimes, he wasn't responsible. Audrey was disturbed to find her image was fading because her signal strength was almost gone, and when it gave out entirely, Audrey was disappear forever into the afterlife. Audrey accepted not knowing who her killer was, and visited Hanna, revealing she had left everything she had to her and truely considered her a friend becuase of her unwavering service, but when she visited Hanna's son Luke, she saw he had stolen her prize diamond necklace off her corpse and realised Luke was her murderer.
Using her last ounce of strength, she said the word "Luke" to the agents through the static, and he was interogated and arrested for her accidental murder. Now at peace, Audrey said a silent goodbye through the static to Diana, flew above the city and, uttering "I'm ready", her signal faded away and vanished.
