Aquino is a Captain in the U.S. Army that was assigned to the Delta Force, and later recruited into the enhanced soldier program following Haspelcorp's downfall and Jordan Collier's rise to power. Aquino gained the power of invisibility (though only when he remained still) and led a team of 5 other enhanced soldiers to do high priority law-enforcement tasks on behalf of the government. When Collier siezed control of a piece of Seattle, declaring it Promise City, Aquino and his team went to NTAC and explained they were tasked to assasinate Collier to end his revolution, demonstrating his ability to a disbelieving Tom Baldwin to prove they could handle anything Collier threw at them.

Upon arrival at the perimeter of Promise City, disguised as civilians, one of their number disabled the psychic defense beacons and Aquino then tasked Henderson to use his ability of enhanced smell to lead them to Collier. While the rest of his team went on ahead, Aquino remained behind when he heard a noise and turned invisible. When Baldwin and Diana Skouris entered through the gap they had made, Aquino became visible and held them hostage, saying they would get in their way, and was resolute on cuffing and leaving them behind and said they would pick them up on the way out, ignoring Skouris's pleas to find her daughter. Baldwin suddenly attacked Aquino, allowing Skouris to escape, and then engaged in a brutal fist-fight. Aquino prevailed thanks to his ability, and knocked Baldwin unconscious and cuffed him to a dumpster and rejoined his team.

Together, the team located Collier's command bunker, and found Collier and two of his bodyguards, Aquino tried to pull the trigger on his rifle, but one of the bodyguards used his power of thermokinesis to make them drop their rifles and another knocked them unconscious. Aquino and his men were taken prisoner and, after refusing to join his followers, Collier took their powers away and had Isabelle Tyler escort Aquino and his men out of Promise City.
